IO Recipe began as a question: could AI help ordinary households cook more confidently, waste less and decide faster?
Origin
From an MIT xPRO capstone to a human-centred product.
IO Recipe originated as a capstone concept in the MIT xPRO programme Designing and Building AI Products and Services. The project explored how generative AI could meaningfully support everyday cooking decisions inside real homes.
Since then it has continued evolving into a broader, human-centred AI product — focused on solving small daily problems instead of demonstrating new technology.
